Thirteen suspected internet fraudsters, have been arrested in Alagbado axis of Lagos State by the Lagos Zonal Office of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The suspects are Olowosoke Temidire; Oladoyin Tolulope; Adeyemi Toyese Jubril; Agbeluyi Olusola; Olayinka Azeez; Abdullahi Olalekan; Gbenga Ade; Nwokeso Innocent; Obodoukwu Godstime; Mba Emmanuel; Oluwadare Ibisiola; Damilola Ogunsemire and Christopher Ubong.
Confirming their arrest on Friday, the Commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, said in Abuja that the suspects were arrested on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, by operatives of the Commission at Plot 109 Obas Street off AIT Estate, Lagos State, and some other areas within the axis, following credible intelligence received from concerned members of the public on their criminal activities.
While profiling the suspects, it was learnt that the analyses of their phones and laptops revealed that the suspects are members of an Organized Cyber Criminal Syndicate Network (OCCSN), defrauding unsuspecting victims of millions of Naira.
It was further disclosed that one of the suspects had charms, which he confessed he uses in charming his victims to defraud them and shutting their mouths from exposing him.
Other items recovered from the suspects include six exotic vehicles, mobile devices and laptops.
The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
