The Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, on behalf of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTDA), has extended his heartfelt greetings to all the residents of the FCT as they celebrate the 2023 Christmas which is a season that transcends borders and brings people together in a spirit of love, compassion, and goodwill.
According to Barrister Wike, in his goodwill message, “On behalf of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, I hereby extend my heartfelt greetings to all the residents of the Federal Capital Territory for the 2023 Christmas which is a season that transcends borders and, brings people together in a spirit of love, compassion, and goodwill.
“This festive season which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, holds immense significance for all of us as it symbolizes the birth of hope, the promise of renewal, and the enduring power of kindness. Amid our diverse backgrounds and unique journeys, we find common ground in the universal themes of love, generosity, and the joy of giving.
“As we gather with family and friends, let us reach out to one another especially the less fortunate ones amongst us with open hearts and open hands, fostering a sense of togetherness and understanding. In the spirit of Christmas, let us embrace the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us.
“Let us remind ourselves that small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on individuals and families facing challenges.
“Our Federal Capital Territory, which is a microcosm of Nigeria’s rich diversity, stands as a testament to the strength that comes from unity. Residents of the FCT have over time, imbibed the culture of standing together and helping each other in times of need.
“Let the spirit of the season therefore once again serve as an inspiration for us to bridge gaps, foster understanding, and build communities where every resident feels valued and included.
“As we face the challenges of nation building let us not despair as we forge ahead but look forward with a renewed hope for a brighter future and a determination to build a greater nation for the coming generation of Nigerians.
“The FCT Administration remains steadfast and resolute in its current efforts to implement projects that enhance infrastructure, promote economic growth, and foster a better quality of life for all residents.
“I call on all residents to also meet their obligations and join hands with the administration in its quest to build for our country a befitting capital territory.
“As we enjoy the festivities, let us remain law abiding in all our activities especially as they concern city sanitation and traffic management.
“While security has been beefed up across the Territory throughout the festivities, residents are also advised to be security conscious and reach out to the security agencies whenever they notice anything out of the ordinary.
“For those travelling out of the Territory for the festivities, I wish you all a very safe journey and look forward to your return.
“Once more I wish all residents of the Federal Capital Territory a very merry and memorable Christmas.”
