
The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Comdt. Maku Olatunde A. on Thursday April 24, 2025 conducted an on the spot assessment to several Joint Admission And Matriculation Board Computer Based Test (JAMB CBT) examination centers in Awka, to assess security arrangements and interact with deployed personnel.
According to the Head, Media and Tactical, NSCDC Anambra State Command, SC Okadigbo Edwin, the visited centers, including JAMB Office ICT Center, St. Patrick’s College Awka, and St. John of God Awka, reported smooth proceedings with robust security, zero incidents, and JAMB officials assisting candidates.

Commandant Maku, during his visit to the exam centers, emphasized the importance of maintaining a professional demeanor, urging officers and men to remain courteous and respectful in their interactions with candidates, thereby ensuring a positive experience for all.
Interacting with personnel at the centers, Commandant Maku stressed the need for politeness and civility, reminding them that their conduct would reflect not only on themselves but also on the entire security agency.

“I commend you for your diligence and professionalism in ensuring a secure and peaceful JAMB examination process” he said.
Meanwhile, a separate monitoring team, led by Deputy Commandants Prominence Ukaobi, Akaachia Godwin and Alada Yakubu, was deployed to oversee security at JAMB centers outside Awka Metropolis.
