…IMPLORES RESIDENTS TO BE CALM
As the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army conducts its Second Annual Range Classification Exercise 2025 from Monday, 18 August to Wednesday, 20 August 2025, residents have been advised to be calm as sounds of gun shoot will be heard coupled with the movement of troops.
The exercise will take place at the 114 Battalion (Rear) Shooting Range, Jimlari, Jalingo, Taraba State.
Disclosing this in Jalingo on Friday, 15th August, 2925, the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Umar Muhammad explained that the training exercise is in line with the Nigerian Army’s 2025 Forecast of Events.
“Residents of Jalingo and surrounding communities are kindly informed that the sounds of gunfire and visible troop movements during this period are part of routine military training and should not cause panic or alarm.
“For the interest of public safety, farmers, herders, and other law-abiding citizens operating near the designated range area are strongly advised to stay away throughout the exercise period,” Lt Mohammad reiterated.
