6 DIVISION, NTA PORT HARCOURT RENEW COLLABORATIVE COMMITMENT

The 6 Division, Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Network Centre, Port Harcourt have renewed their commitment for improved collaboration in the Niger Delta Region.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division, Major General Emmanuel Eric Emekah expressed his commitment, when he received the Zonal Director, NTA, Port Harcourt Network Centre, Dr Evelyn Nwosu at the Headquarters, 6 Division, Port Harcourt Barracks, today, 21st March, 2025.

The GOC stated that the Division and NTA are two critical national institutions working for the common good of the society. He maintained that the two institutions had a very good working relationship that must be sustained, reassuring that the Division will continue to do its best to support NTA.

Major General Emekah, therefore, assured the Zonal Director of their ongoing partnership and acknowledged the significant support provided by the network centre in providing coverage and publicizing the activities of the 6 Division.

He appreciated the Zonal Director’s visit and attested that his predecessor had briefed him on the level of synergy between 6 Division and the NTA, pledging to improve on the level of collaboration.

Prior to this, the Zonal Director NTA, Dr Evelyn Nwosu, while welcoming the GOC to Port Harcourt said, NTA would sustain the collaboration with the Divsion. She highlighted the continued support from the 6 Division in the realm of providing security services, particularly in safeguarding journalists in the NDR, and the provision of other support services to the NTA, that enabled the organisation to have earned an award.

Dr Nwosu restated the commitment of the NTA in working closely with the Division. This, she said enabled her organisation to feature the activities of the Division on the network news.
