A new Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 81 Division Nigerian Army, has been appointed and had resumed duty at the Division Headquarters in Lagos.
He is Major Osoba Olaniyi Joseph. On assumption of office, he solicited for the cooperation of Defence Correspondents saying “we have the same obligation to make Nigeria a better place.”
He explained that even though there are divergent approaches to our mandate, there is the need for synergy. “I will do my best within my capacity to ensure there is no communication gap between us.”
“I also want to appeal to you as professional journalists to ensure you filter and verify whatever information you have about the military before sending them out.”
Major Osoba took over from Major Adegoke, who has been redeployed to Kontagora, Niger state following the recent postings and appointments released by the Army Headquarters.
