In a rare display of commitment to educational and community development, Tech Entrepreneur, Eyitayo Ogunmola, has spearheaded an initiative – The Eyitayo Educational Initiative Youth Career Conference – with a robust scholarship presentation.
The event which was held at Ifako Ijaye, Lagos State, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, showcased Ogunmola’s dedication to empowering young Lagosians.
Ogunmola, renowned for his ventures Utiva, Techlocate, and Entrova, personally funded the initiative, reiterating his desire to give back to the community that nurtured his success.
In his address, he highlighted the importance of education and unveiled a scholarship programme covering Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms and tuition fees to support aspiring individuals.
The event was graced by Prince Gbolahan Matthew Ogundimu, the Oba-elect of Ogundimu Kingdom, who shared nostalgic introspection of how his mother sacrificed to ensure that he had a good education, a remark that resonated and further inspired attendees to take education as a cherished ornament while pursuing various careers that would advance their educational attainment for excellence.
On his part, Alabi Olademeji, Senior Special Assistant (Youth Mobilisation) to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, echoed the sentiment and urged youth engagement in community development. His address ignited a sense of purpose among the audience.
Notable personalities like Miss Soniregun Maria Itunuoluwa, Speaker, Lagos State Youth Parliament, Akintoye Wale of Dangote Group, Akinkeye Segun, strategist and Communication Manager, and Miss Mercy Adekola, Founder of Coldie Organic, were present at the occasion, underscoring the event’s significance.
Overall, the conference underscored Ogunmola’s commitment to education and community empowerment, setting a precedent for positive change in Lagos State.
