“APPLY KNOWLEDGE GAINED DURING YOUR COURSE” – SIGNALS’ COMMANDER CHARGES NAIS GRADUANDS

The Commander Nigerian Army Signals, Major General Gbemiga Adesina, has charged graduands of the first quarter courses 2024 in Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS) to apply knowledge gained during the courses to improve Nigerian Army operational activities wherever they are deployed.

They participated in Operational Intelligence Commanders Course, Intelligence Analysis Officers Course, Security Investigation Officers Course and Security, Investigation Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Course, as well as students of Advance Intelligence Operative Course and Intermediate Intelligence Operative Course.

The graduation ceremony took on Friday, 12th April, 2024 at Bala Mande Hall, Tego Barracks, Apapa, Lagos.

While addressing the Graduands, the Special Guest of Honour, Major General Gbemiga Adesina, charged the graduating students to effectively apply all the knowledge and training acquired during the courses to help the Nigerian Army in defeating the contemporary security situation of the Country.

He said the training acquired is in line with the COAS Command philosophy which is “To transform the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped and highly motivated force towards achieving our constitutional responsibilities in a joint environment.

General Adesina also commended the school Commandant, Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko and the staff of NAIS for the remarkable transformation in infrastructural and academy upgrades witnessed in the school recently.

He stated that with the improvement in training, “NAIS is poised to adequately support the NA in all its operations,” he said.

Earlier, the School Commandant, Brig Gen Kingsley Nwoko, in his remark thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for the immense support and commitment towards transforming and repositioning the school to effectively producing knowledgeable and well-trained officers and soldiers capable of operating in a joint environment in line with his command philosophy.

He reiterated NAIS’s commitment to living up to the goals and aspirations for which it was established and, most importantly, to train capable and viable officers and soldiers that will live up to the “Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps” mandate of supporting all NA’s operations.

The Commandant revealed that the school has introduced driving and computer education as additional compulsory courses for all students and there is a massive improvement as regards technical, artificial Intelligence, surveillance, tracking, investigation and forensic training among others to improve their abilities to solve contemporary challenges.

In attendance were Brig Gen AS Makaino Commander, Command Finance Office, Col AA Lawal Commander, DIA Annex Lagos, Lt Col ET Ogunlade Commander, 81 MIB. Mr Charles Okaga Port Manager NPA Lagos Complex, Assistance Comd of the EFCC 1 Michael T. Wetkas and representatives from DSS, FCID among others.
