- As Regina Daniels glorifies God for making her a mother
The Abuja residence of billionaire politician and philanthropist; Hon. Ned Nwoko was a beehive of activities on Friday, as family members, relatives, friends, Nollywood personalities and other well-wishers joined him and his actress wife, Regina Daniels Nwoko to celebrate the naming event of their newly born baby boy; Munir Neji Nwoko, even as Regina was full of praises to God for making her a mother.
The amiable founder of STARS University, Idumuje Ugboko, Delta State; though not a first time father, was full of excitement as the baby was being unveiled. This, according to some observers, “only goes to show the tremendous love he has for, his adorable wife.”
Full of excitement also at the event, was Regina’s mother; Rita Daniels who is equally a Nollywood personality. According to her, “the coming of the baby has brought so much joy and unity to the family and I must confess that I feel so fulfilled. It is not as if I am the most perfect or honest woman, but God has remained faithful to me. Majority of my age mates today cannot experience a day like this. In all, I give God the glory for making me a grandmother.”
Continuing, she said “Omugwo’ is a good experience and a loveable one, but it is stressful. “Omugwo is very stressful. After bathing the baby, you bath the mother, do the normal hot massage, feed the baby, and the mother with Nsala soup, which is our native soup for the new mother. We try to build her up again to come back to her normal shape, and giving her the best care. This is the best time she needs her mother beside her, and which every mother is looking up to and I believe this will not be the end, we have started it.”
According to Regina’s mother “though this baby is not my first grandchild, but I can say this is my first complete omugwo because the other ones have younger ones to take care of them. They also have mother in-laws around to take care of them, but this one I am just too dedicated. Do you know why? Because I want to really appreciate everybody, the whole world, my fans, my lovers and to tell them that it is good to be a grandmother.” The event was also attended by Regina’s father.
Soft-spoken Regina told newsmen that “she gives all the glory to God for making her a mother even as her husband; Ned Nwoko told reporters that God has been good to his family. He noted that one of the names of the baby, ‘Neji’, was inspired by his belief that Mother is supreme and owner and maker of the home.
Nollywood personalities at the event included Segun Arinze, Mrs. Pete Edochie, Fred Amata amongst many others.
