The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has expressed readiness to enter into a strategic partnership with the Electronics Development Institute (ELDI) under the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to enhance the security and protection of critical infrastructure in the state.
According to the Head of Media and Tactical Operations, NSCDC Anambra State Command, SC Okadigbo Edwin, “The partnership was formalized on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, when the State Commandant, Comdt. Maku Olatunde received on a courtesy visit the management of the Institute led by the Acting Managing Director, Engr. Dr. Ogungberno Oluwaseyi.
“The collaboration aims to leverage ELDI’s expertise in electronics and technology to improve NSCDC’s surveillance and response capabilities, particularly in the areas of Counter-terrorism, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Protection and Intelligence gathering.
“The collaboration will involve joint training programs, technology sharing, and strategic planning to address emerging security threats in the state.
“The visit provided the State Commandant, Comdt. Maku Olatunde, an opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore ways in which both agencies can work together to achieve mutual goals.”
