Veteran Nollywood Actor and Legal practitioner, Femi Adebayo has paid a surprise visit to Hon. Taiwo Oyekan’s Free Summer Coaching Centre on Lagos Island to deliver a Career Talk to Students.
Over One Thousand (1,000) Students benefitted from the seminar.
In his lecture, Actor Femi Adebayo offered useful tips for choosing a career.
According to the Thespian, they include but are not limited to Personal Talents and Skills, Self-Assessment and Development, Natural Aptitudes, Areas of Interest and Environmental Factors.
Continuing, Actor Femi Adebayo urged the students to avoid actions that could negatively affect their dreams and aspirations.
“If you want to be like me and other great personalities, study hard, be consistent, set personal goals and shun bad peer groups”, Femi Adebayo cautioned.
To ensure a participatory session, Adebayo asked different questions ranging from career choices to entertainment cum Theatre arts from the students.
He presented cash prizes and other gift items to the attendees in return for brilliant performances.
For his part, the Deputy Leader of Lagos Island Local Government Legislative Arm and Sponsor of The Summer Coaching, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan, said the Education Development Initiative was the Second in a series.
“This is part of my commitment to advancing Education and Knowledge Acquisition on Lagos Island Local Government Area. I organised the Free Summer Coaching to nurture, engage, teach and train students”.
“The students are currently undergoing formal and Informal Education/Skills Acquisition Trainings (such as Tailoring and Fashion Designing, Hairdressing and Cosmetology, Catering and Baking, Computer-Digital Literacy Training, Soap and Disinfectants Productions”, Hon. Oyekan said.
The Lagos Prince tasked the summer coaching students to concentrate on their studies as there are rewards for hard work.
Present at the occasion was the Deputy Leader of Lagos Island Local Government and Executive Director of Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan, Veteran Nollywood Actor, Femi Adebayo and his colleagues in the movie industry, Mr. Rilwan Alesh Onilegbale, Teachers, Students, Team PTO members, Parents, Guardians and Stakeholders.
