Victoria Okoh, a 38 years old, wife to a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Oron branch, has been murdered by the husband, Pastor Victor Okoh over infidelity allegation.

The incident which took place on Monday, 11th March, 2025 in Oron, Akwa Ibom State, left the body of the woman in carcass after the pastor allegedly used cutlass to butcher her.

It was learnt that the couple, before the unfortunate incident, have been dealing with issues of childlessness.

The suspect, Victor Okoh, 42 years old, has been arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command following a distress call by shocked neighbours.

It was learnt by the time officers of the Nigerian Police arrived at their residence about 5:20am, they met a gruesome scene, as the woman was mutilated with various parts of the body lying in front of their home.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect attacked his wife with a machete, in tne most barbarous manner.

8In a failed attempt to escape justice, the pastor was said to have hidden himself in the ceiling of the house, where he was subsequently found and arrested by the police.

The cutlass used in the crime has been recovered, and the body of the deceased has been deposited at the General Hospital Morgue for autopsy. Investigations are ongoing.

However, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, has condemned the insipid act, vowing that justice would prevail. He further warned against domestic violence and advised residents to seek peaceful means of settling disputes rather than resorting to bloodshed.

The Command also encouraged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly to law enforcement authorities.
