What started as a remote IT training hub four years ago has become a reality and a dream come true as the technology solution hub unveils its physical office in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria, with the installation of state-of-the-art tech infrastructure equipment, and a conducive learning environment.
Speaking during the launch of darey.io and xtern.ai, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dare Olufunmilayo, said the tech hub from inception has trained over 5,000 tech talents with many working for top global companies, launching startups, and creating groundbreaking solutions.
According to Olufunmilayo, the launching of Darey.io and Xterns.ai in Nigeria is another impact; it is a movement, a revolution in how we learn, build careers, and create opportunities in the tech ecosystem.
“The official launch of Darey.io and Xterns.ai in Nigeria today is not just about celebrating a new office space; it is about launching a movement, a revolution in how we learn, build careers and create opportunities in the tech ecosystem.

“A few years ago, we started with a bold vision; to empower Africans with world-class digital skills and bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. We believed that, with the right platform, the right training, and the right mindset, anyone—no matter their background—could go from learning to earning in the global digital economy.
“That vision has now become a reality. Thousands of Nigerians have started their careers through Darey.io, working for top global companies, launching startups, and creating groundbreaking solutions.
“Xterns.ai is our next big leap—where we don’t just train talents; we integrate them directly into the workforce through our Proof-of-Skills Hiring model.
“This is why today’s theme—Tech & Tea: Brewing Nigeria’s Technology Innovation Future—is so important. It reflects our belief that just like brewing the perfect tea, building a thriving digital economy requires the right ingredients: talent, innovation, and collaboration.”
Speaking of collaboration, Olufunmilayo acknowledges the federal government of Nigeria’s 3MTT initiative which made it possible for tech enthusiasts and entrepreneurs to get access to learn and fulfill their dreams.
He said, “None of this would be possible without the ecosystem we are a part of. The government’s 3MTT initiative is playing a crucial role in creating a future-ready workforce. Our partners, tech leaders, alumni, and most importantly, the amazing team behind our innovations have all contributed to making this dream a reality.”

Reminiscing on the successes of Darey.io and Xtern.ai, Olufunmilayo said, “Today, we will share stories of impact—real people whose lives have been transformed through this platform.
“We will engage in critical discussions on policy, innovation, and talent development to ensure Nigeria’s digital economy scales beyond expectations. And, of course, we will showcase the next evolution of Darey.io and Xterns.ai, giving you a first-hand look at how we are changing the hiring game forever.
“So, whether you’re a learner, an entrepreneur, an investor, or a policymaker, you are a key part of this journey. Nigeria is rising as a tech powerhouse, and we will shape the future together.
“As we launch Darey.io and Xterns.ai, let’s connect, innovate, and build the next generation of African tech leaders,” Olufunmilayo stated.
