The Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria workshop aimed to address gaps in logistics flow and application in Nigerian Army operations, and to enhance operational capacity using simulation technology has ended a five-day workshop.

Conducted from 4 – 9 May, 2025, with the theme: “Logistics Management Simulation to Enhance NA Logistics Operations,” in his opening remarks, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General OO Oluyede, represented by Major General AG Audu, Deputy Chief of Logistics Engineer Services, stressed the importance of the simulation training workshop.

He urged participants to make optimal use of the opportunity to achieve the workshop’s objectives and emphasized the need for objective submissions during discussion sessions.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Major General MB Wabili, Director General of the Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria, thanked the Chief of Army Staff for his resolve and unwavering support to the centre, enabling it to effectively achieve its objectives.

The workshop featured Nigerian Army logistics stakeholders from Corps Headquarters, Nigerian Army Training Schools, and formations, as well as observers from Army Headquarters departments.

Senior Nigerian Army officers from the Logistics Corps delivered lectures on various topics designed to meet the workshop’s objectives. These topics included “Enhancing Logistic Operations through Simulation Training” by Major General AA Adeyinka, “Impact of Simulation Exercise on the Performance of Nigerian Army Logistics Maintenance System” by Major General AA Fadairo, and “Efficient Medical Operations in the Nigerian Army through Simulation Training” by Brigadier General SO Okoigi.

The highlight of the workshop was the interactive sessions, which provided invaluable insights, enhancing participants’ knowledge on logistics management in Nigerian Army operations. This initiative contributes to building the combat readiness of the Nigerian Army, ensuring a formidable force against all threats to national security.
