The prestigious Global Excellence Summit & Awards (GESA) 2025 has been officially unveiled in Lagos to a cross section of the press, members of the diplomatic corps, private and public sector leaders, and influential stakeholders.
The highly anticipated two-day summit and awards event will hold on 23rd and 24th May, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
Organized in strategic partnership with the African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, the International Society of Diplomats, the African Chapter Of the United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC AFRICA), and the Nigeria-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Inc., GESA 2025 is aimed to spotlight diplomatic brilliance, investment opportunities, innovation, and leadership across Africa and the diaspora.
The Convener, Amb. Dr. Fatoumatta Gaye, emphasized the importance of GESA 2025 as “a celebration of excellence and a platform for collaboration, continental progress, and meaningful partnerships across diplomacy, business, and governance.”
With the theme: “Global Excellence in Diplomacy & Leadership: Africa’s Path to Prosperity,” the event is expected to host a distinguished lineup of keynote speakers, awardees, and dignitaries which include the following personalities.
Among them are: Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu, Senate Spokesperson and Chair, Senate Committee on Youths & Community Engagement; Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, Senator Representing Delta North; Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Minister of State for Labour & Employment; Justice Mainasara Ibrahim Kogo Umar, Chairman, Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Others include His Excellency George Muhali Imbuwa, Zambian High Commissioner to Nigeria; H.E. Mohamadou Musa Njie, Gambian High Commissioner to Nigeria and several captains of industry, development partners, ambassadors, governors, and policy influencers.
It was further disclosed that on Day 1 – May 23rd, 2025: Global Diplomacy & Business Summit – Panel sessions, deal-making forums, and bilateral engagements.
While Day 2 – May 24th, 2025:
Global Excellence Awards & Gala Night – A celebration of global change-makers, with premium networking, entertainment, and recognitions.
