“GIVE QUALITY FINANCIAL ADVICE IN YOUR ESTABLISHMENTS” – CAB URGES NAVAL GRADUATION STUDENTS

Give Quality Financial Advice

The Chief of Accounts and Budget (CAB), Nigerian Navy, Rear Admiral O. O. Olukoya has called on the graduating students of Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Budget to use the knowledge gained during training to give quality financial advice in their various units and establishments.

In a keynote speech at the graduation of the students’ officers on Friday, 13th June, 2025, he encouraged them to be dedicated to upholding professionalism in the Nigerian Navy and be good ambassadors of the College.

He reaffirmed the Chief of the Naval Staff’s commitment to repositioning the Branch for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency in supporting naval operations.

On his part, the Commandant of the Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Budget, Owerrinta, Abia State, Commodore B. U. Quadri, has re-emphasized the relevance of the school, which aligns with the operational needs of the Nigerian Navy.

Making his remarks during the graduation of Officers Basic Course Batch 38, Petty Officer Qualifying Course Batch 46, Leading Hand Qualifying Course Batch 46 and Basic Qualifying Course Batch 54 on Friday, 13th June, 2025, acknowledged the invaluable support of the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, which has been instrumental in enabling the College fulfill its mandate.

He thanked the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Rear Admiral IM Albara, who was the Special Guest of Honour (SGOH), for his leadership role and ensuring the training programmes remain relevant to the force.

While urging the graduating students to uphold the integrity of the Accounts and Budget Branch, I encouraged them to reflect the high standards of the College in their professional work ethics.

Present at the ceremony were the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command (FOC NAVTRAC), Rear Admiral IM Albara, as the Special Guest of Honour (SGOH) and the Chief of Accounts and Budget (CAB), Rear Admiral OO Olukoya, who was represented by the Acting Director of Naval Accounts, Captain MC Okogba, as the Guest of Honour.

Others were the Commander Naval Base Oguta, Commodore MA Alhassan and the State Director of the Security Department of State Services, Abia State Command, Ibrahim Abdullahi, and representatives of Commanders and Commandants of military formations and security agencies in Abia and Imo States.
