The Nigerian Navy (NN) has taken a significant step towards advancing agricultural innovation and food security with the inauguration of its first precision agriculture technology farm by commissioning the Admiralty Integrated Farm Limited (ADIFAL) Coordination Centre.
The commissioning was held today, 25th June 2025, at the Admiralty Event Centre, Asokoro, Abuja where the Company logo was unveiled.
The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, who was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans (CPPLANS), Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu, delivered the CNS goodwill message with a bold statement congratulating ADIFAL for achieving the landmark project.
CPPLANS, however, reaffirmed the NN’s commitment to supporting national priorities, particularly the presidential directive on military participation in agriculture.

Additionally, he emphasized the importance of technological innovation in addressing the twin challenges of insecurity and food security, urging ADIFAL to maintain its momentum through enhanced productivity, strategic partnerships and adoption of cutting-edge agricultural solutions.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ADIFAL, Rear Admiral Julius Nwagu stated that the establishment of ADIFAL was a direct response to the Presidential directive tasking the NN to engage in agricultural initiatives in support of Nigeria’s food security.
He also said that the new system leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide real-time insights into modern agricultural practices.
