
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has disclosed that an airstrike carried out from 24 to 26 June, 2025 have decimated terrorists in Niger state.
According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI), Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force disclosed in Abuja on Friday that the well-calculated airstrike, with the support of ground troops, was carried out under operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1.
He explained that following credible intelligence on the 26th June, with inter-service and inter-agency cooperation, the NAF identified terrorists’ activities involving attacks and cattle rustling in Kakihun and Kumbashi communities.

They swiftly deployed air assets, and the Air Component executed multiple waves of precision strikes that neutralized scores of terrorists, destroyed their logistics, and disrupted regrouping efforts.
Air Cdre Ejodame further disclosed that the operation demonstrated NAF’s professionalism, rapid response capability, and strong coordination with ground forces and other agencies.
Noting that the Nigerian Air Force remains resolutely committed to protecting the lives and property of all Nigerians and ensuring lasting peace across the country.
