
In furtherance of ongoing efforts to strengthen Police-Public relations, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD hosted officers of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Command Headquarters, Awka.
During the interactive session, CP Orutugu emphasized the importance of synergy between law enforcement agencies and oversight bodies like the Public Complaints Commission in building public confidence and improving service delivery. He noted that the Police under his watch will remain open to accountability and committed to upholding professionalism in all dealings with members of the public.

The Honorable Commissioner, Mr. Emmanuel Muoka who led the delegation of the very senior officers of the Public Complaints Commission expressed readiness to work closely with the Command to address complaints promptly and fairly, in line with their Mandate to act as a voice for the voiceless and ensure that justice is not only done but seen to be done.
According to the Police Spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the visit is part of a broader initiative to deepen institutional collaboration, promote transparency, and ensure the protection of citizens’ rights through effective complaint redress mechanisms.
The CP further assured the Commission and Ndi Anambra of the Command’s continued commitment to building inclusive and responsive policing structures that foster mutual trust, justice, and community safety.
