ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST 65-YEAR-OLD MAN WITH OVER 1,000 ROUNDS OF LIVE AMMUNITION IN NKPOR, ONITSHA

ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST 65-YEAR-OLD MAN

Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to Rapid Response Squad Akwuzu acting on credible information on 22nd August 2025 arrested one Akpan Godwin ‘m’, aged 65 years, in possession of 1,100 rounds of live ammunition in Nkpor, Onitsha.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to being involved in the illegal sale of ammunition and mentioned other individuals connected to the illicit trade.

Meanwhile the Operatives have stepped up the investigation/manhunt to uncover and apprehend all accomplices. Further developments will be communicated as disclosed in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
