
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component under the Joint Task Force North-East of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), has carried out a planned air interdiction mission in a newly identified terrorist enclave West of Zuwa in Sambisa Forest killing 15 terrorists.
Disclosing this in Abuja on Thursday morning, the Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI), Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame explained that the strike took place on the 3rd of September 2025 in Sambisa general area.
He noted that the strike happened, and the NAF acted on credible intelligence and confirmatory surveillance.
“The mission targeted hideouts harbouring fighters and commanders responsible for recent hostilities around Bitta. The strikes proved devastating, neutralising over 15 terrorists and demolishing key structures critical to their operations.”
Air Cdre reiterated that the latest success underscores the NAF’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians while supporting ground troops in joint operations to dismantle terrorist networks.
