ANAMBRA POLICE RECOVERS STOLEN TRICYCLE, ARREST THREE ARMED ROBERY SUSPECTS

Anambra Police Recovers Tricycle, Arrest Three Armed Robery Suspects

Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to the Special Anti-Cultism recovered a tricycle stolen by three suspected armed robbers on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Isuaniocha Bridge.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at about 2.20pm, the Command received a distress call on how a commercial tricycle operator was attacked at Isuaniocha Bridge by armed men who dispossessed him of his yellow tricycle with registration number NZM 92 YH.

According to him, Police operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cultism Squad swiftly mobilised to the scene, and the victim was rescued and rushed to the hospital where he is responding to treatment.

The Operatives, while acting on technology – guided intelligence, traced the suspects to Awarasi Village, Uga, Aguata LGA, and recovered the stolen tricycle.  During the operation, the suspects who attempted to escape on sighting the operatives, were given a hot chase, and eventually arrested.

The suspects include Kosisochukwu Nweke, ‘M’ aged 26 years, Emmanuel Eze ‘M’, aged 24 years and Osondu Ifeanyi ‘M’, aged 20 years, respectively.  

He stated that efforts are ongoing to uncover more leads related to their criminal activities, while the suspects shall be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigations.
