NITDA HOSTS PUBLIC REVIEW OF DRAFT

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) today hosted the public review of the Draft Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Life Events and the Draft Technical Standard for Nigerian Data Exchange (NGDX) in Abuja, reaffirming its commitment to advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation.

Themed “Advancing Nigeria’s Digital Public Infrastructure through Standards, Data Exchange, and e-Government Transformation,” the event featured goodwill messages from federal agencies, stakeholders, the Nigeria Governors Forum, and sub-national representatives.

Key presentations were delivered on the Nigeria DPI Life Events Initiative, the Draft Technical Standards Framework, and the e-Government Master Plan 2.0, providing participants with insight into ongoing national digitalisation efforts.

In his remarks, NITDA Director-General Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, represented by Dr. Dimie Shively Wariowei, Director of Corporate Planning and Strategy, lauded the initiative as a “brilliant step towards building a robust digital ecosystem.” He underscored the importance of collaboration in driving progress, noting that standards, effective data exchange, and e-government transformation are essential pillars of Nigeria’s digital public infrastructure.

A panel session further explored stakeholder roles and capacity needs, with participants stressing that cooperation and capacity development remain critical to sustaining momentum in Nigeria’s digital journey.
