The 2025 National Cybersecurity Conference officially opened today in Abuja, bringing together government leaders, industry experts, and global partners to address evolving cyber threats and strengthen Nigeria’s digital security.
The conference, held under the theme “Building a Resilient Digital Future,” aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises national security as a foundation for peace and prosperity.
In his opening remarks, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa CCIE, outlined key strategies to reinforce Nigeria’s cybersecurity resilience. He highlighted efforts to strengthen the national cybersecurity framework, foster international collaborations, promote comprehensive cybersecurity education, and invest in innovative technological solutions.
