National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, has lauded Nigeria’s progress in its digital revolution under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while urging global technology companies to seize emerging opportunities in the country’s secure and expanding digital ecosystem.
Delivering a keynote address at the National Cybersecurity Conference in Abuja, Ribadu commended the bold policies and strategic advancements that have positioned Nigeria as a rising digital hub.
He praised the efforts of critical institutions—including the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC)—for their contributions to safeguarding digital identity, online safety, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Ribadu also paid tribute to the “countless unsung heroes” across the public and private sectors whose work continues to strengthen Nigeria’s cybersecurity landscape.
Formally declaring the conference open, he challenged stakeholders to remain steadfast in shaping a prosperous, innovative, and secure digital future for the nation.
