The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has convened a stakeholder engagement meeting with the Digital Economy Technical Working Groups (TWGs) of Oyo, Osun, and Ondo states to strengthen collaboration and accelerate digital transformation across the South-West region.
Speaking at the event, the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, represented by the Director of Zonal Offices, Mr. Babajide Ajayi, reaffirmed that Nigeria’s digitalisation journey is anchored on inclusivity and collaboration. He stressed NITDA’s commitment to providing supportive frameworks and platforms where stakeholders can drive meaningful change.
With the establishment of TWGs in Ogun, Oyo, and Osun States, NITDA seeks to deepen engagement at the sub-national level. The groups are expected to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions that advance IT development, while aligning state-level digital economy initiatives with national strategies.
According to NITDA, the objectives of the TWGs include harmonising policies, amplifying stakeholder voices in implementation processes, and building sustainable models of collaboration that will empower individuals, redefine industries, and strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global digital economy.
