The Management and staff of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) on Saturday staged an awareness road walk and fitness jog in Abuja to mobilise public attention for the maiden edition of GITEX Nigeria 2025, scheduled to hold from September 1–4, 2025.
The symbolic exercise underscored NITDA’s commitment to positioning Nigeria as a leading hub for digital innovation and collaboration on the continent.
GITEX Nigeria will debut in Abuja on September 1 with the Government Leadership & AI Summit, a high-level forum expected to host more than 500 government officials and 40 international speakers. Discussions will centre on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in reshaping public services, infrastructure, and policymaking.
From September 3–4, the event will move to Lagos, where the Tech Expo & Future Economy Summit will be staged at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre. The expo will bring together over 100 global tech leaders, 3,000 professionals, and 100 exhibitors, showcasing solutions in AI, fintech, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and other frontier technologies. Special executive and investment tracks will also provide opportunities to deepen partnerships and accelerate Nigeria’s digital economy.
By leading the awareness drive, NITDA reaffirmed its resolve to galvanise stakeholders and citizens alike in shaping the nation’s digital future.
