
A delegation from the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has visited the Bayelsa State ICT Hub in Yenagoa to assess its readiness and explore areas of collaboration for its successful take-off.
The team, dispatched by NITDA’s Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, was led by Dr. Dimie Wariowei, Director of Corporate Planning and Strategy.
During a courtesy visit to the state government, the delegation was received by Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, who represented Governor Douye Diri. The NITDA team commended the state for its foresight and the quality of facilities already established at the hub.
Dr. Wariowei reaffirmed NITDA’s commitment to providing technical guidance and regulatory expertise to ensure the ICT Hub’s smooth take-off and long-term sustainability. He stressed that the Agency will work closely with the Bayelsa government to position the hub as a model for digital innovation, youth empowerment, and enhanced digital literacy.
