On 12th July 2025, the Command received a distress report about the unconscious body of a young woman discovered along Iya Abubakar Street, Life Camp. Police operatives promptly responded to the scene, where the victim—later identified as Miss Grace Godwin—was rushed to the hospital but was sadly confirmed dead by a medical doctor on duty.
According to the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased, who worked as a fuel pump attendant, had closed from work on 11th July 2025 and unknowingly boarded a vehicle operated by a “one-chance” robbery gang.
Acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, operatives of the Command’s Scorpion Squad launched an intensive investigation into the case.
