The 8th edition of the GTCO Fashion Weekend officially kicks off today, Saturday, November 8th, at Plot 1, Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The two-day event, organized by Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO), will run through Sunday, November 9th, 2025, bringing together some of the biggest names in global and African fashion.

Since its debut in 2016, the GTCO Fashion Weekend has evolved into one of Africa’s most influential platforms for fashion, creativity, and enterprise, celebrating the continent’s vibrant talent and innovation. Each year, the event attracts thousands of designers, entrepreneurs, and fashion enthusiasts, contributing significantly to Nigeria’s growing creative economy.
The 2025 theme, “Fashion Is Freedom,” highlights GTCO’s belief in the power of creativity and entrepreneurship to drive cultural and economic transformation.

Segun Agbaje, Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO Plc, stated:
“Fashion goes beyond style; it embodies creativity, resilience, and the spirit of enterprise that drives our continent forward. At GTCO, we recognize fashion as a powerful vehicle for innovation, employment, and cultural expression.

Through the GTCO Fashion Weekend, we continue to create a global platform that amplifies Africa’s creative voice, empowers entrepreneurs, and showcases the limitless potential of our people.”

The opening day features runway showcases, business masterclasses, and a bustling retail marketplace. Guests will enjoy presentations from renowned designers including Ituen Basi, The BAM Collective, Sevon Dejana, Mmuso Maxwell, Mowalola, and Priya Ahluwalia, unveiling collections that reflect cutting-edge craftsmanship, cultural storytelling, and contemporary African fashion excellence.
