Admin December 16, 2025
FCT POLICE CONFIRM 2

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed that the father of a young male victim involved in a suspected hit-and-run incident at Apo Roundabout, Abuja, has been identified.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, the victim—previously reported as unidentified—was found unconscious near a transformer at Apo Roundabout on December 10, 2025. In an update issued by the Command, the child has now been positively identified by his father, Mr. Adamu Ibrahim, as Abba Adamu Ibrahim.

The police explained that the development follows a public appeal made in a press release issued on December 11, 2025, seeking information that could help establish the identity of the victim, who was estimated to be between 12 and 15 years old at the time of the incident.

The FCT Police Command disclosed that the victim is currently receiving medical treatment, while arrangements are ongoing to ensure his safe and proper reunification with his father, in line with established procedures and medical advice.

The Command expressed gratitude to members of the public for their cooperation and the useful information provided, which played a significant role in identifying the child’s parent. It also reiterated the importance of collective vigilance and public support in safeguarding lives and strengthening crime prevention efforts across the Federal Capital Territory.

Residents were urged to continue reporting suspicious incidents or persons to the nearest police station or through the FCT Police Command emergency lines on 08032003913 and 08028940883.
