The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has conducted an extensive operational patrol along the FCT–Nasarawa–Kogi boundaries as part of efforts to strengthen security in border and adjoining communities.
The patrol was carried out on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in line with the Command’s ongoing strategy to curb criminal activities in boundary areas often considered vulnerable to security threats.
According to the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, during the operation, the Commissioner paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Ona of Abaji, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Adamu Baba Yunusa, CON, where he reaffirmed the FCT Police Command’s commitment to working closely with traditional institutions to promote community-based security initiatives.

CP Dantawaye also visited several communities in Nasarawa State, including Narati Tsofo, Narati Sabo, Chijisabo, Chiji, Abate and Achido, as well as other adjoining locations that have experienced security challenges in recent times. While on ground, he assessed existing security deployments, issued on-the-spot operational directives and reinforced police presence in the affected areas.
The patrol, according to the Command, forms part of the Commissioner’s approach to personally evaluate police deployments and ongoing security operations across the FCT, with particular emphasis on boundary and flashpoint areas.

Commending officers deployed in the communities for their dedication, resilience and successes recorded against criminal elements, CP Dantawaye urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious persons or activities through the Command’s emergency numbers: 08032003913 and 07057337653.
The FCT Police Command reassured residents of its continued commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the territory and neighbouring communities.
