They dominated the entire spectrum of the venue at the GTCO Food and Drink 2025 Special Edition.

It was grooves all the way! There is no single event that gathered the hugest number of children at the same time participating in recent times as GTCO Food and Drink Annual Festival – Maiden Holiday Edition witnessed.

It created enormous excitement for whole family especially the children, who relished on the robustness of the event to engage in sundry games, plays and tasting of different cuisines with array of flavours.

The well-orchestrated departmentalization, designs and sessions brought uniqueness and panache to the holiday edition. From the Christmas Village to the Street Food Hub, dovetailing into the Kids’ Play Zone, and the Live Entertainment by Disc Jockey, the participation was extraordinary as over 200 Nigerian SMEs featured in the two-day festival of food and drink.

The Amusement Park was a beehive of crowd dominated by teenagers who hopped from the dummy horse to skyrace. At every corner, there was something to buy and eat – with a friendly and rich wallet.

The children formed huge part of the success of this maiden edition. They were everywhere showcasing fantastic class buying almost everything available – from sweet, ice cream, cookies and other cuisines.

At the Street Food session, the customers that beseeched roasted corn table were amazing. Amazingly so because they were more or less the elderly who salvour the naturalness in the taste with a combination of pears.

At the Amala and Ewedu joint, array of children with their parents battle with bowl of plates filled with the Yoruba staple food, South West Nigeria. At the Ram suya with barbecued chicken joint, left no one in doubt as customers struggled to buy portions with nice bites.

AMUSEMENT PACK
It was an excellent rendezvous for children to relief themselves of the stress accumulated during their academic session in the just concluded academic session. Their energy was felt seeing them engaging in skyrace, bouncing castle and others facilities provided by GTCO.

Realistically, GTCO has continued to promote SMEs and other business enterprises, thereby, keeping their businesses thriving and sustaining.

According to Master Johnny Peters expressed satisfaction with what he saw during the two-day event. “I would love to experience this kind of thing in subsequent years to come. I am really elated to be here with my parents catching fun and shopping for the Christmas.”

For the prices of food and drinks, he continued: “I wouldn’t know how expensive they are because my parents are the ones paying the bills. I think the prices maybe on either side – some expensive and some low,” Johnny stated.
