The Ogun State Police Command has welcomed newly commissioned officers of Regular Course 7, recently posted to the state following their Passing Out Parade and presidential commissioning into the Nigeria Police Force.

The officers, who completed five years of intensive academic and professional training at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, arrived in Ogun State and were formally received by the Command.

Upon their arrival, the officers were enrolled in a structured orientation programme aimed at familiarising them with the Command’s operational framework, administrative structure, and policing expectations within Ogun State.

The orientation programme featured lectures delivered by the Commissioner of Police and members of the Command’s Management Team, with emphasis on leadership, discipline, professionalism, ethical conduct, operational preparedness, and effective community policing.

Addressing the officers, the Commissioner of Police charged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and integrity in the discharge of their duties. He urged them to be law-abiding, people-oriented, and proactive in crime prevention, while ensuring strict adherence to human rights and the rule of law.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, said the orientation was designed to properly integrate the officers into the Command’s policing culture and operational environment.

According to Babaseyi, the Ogun State Police Command remains committed to mentoring the newly deployed officers and providing the necessary guidance to enable them to perform their duties effectively, while contributing to public safety, peace, and public confidence in policing across the state.
