The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has appealed to members of the public for assistance in identifying and reuniting a young boy found wandering alone in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja with his family.

According to the Police Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the male child, estimated to be between 10 and 11 years old, was found roaming around the Works and Housing Estate in Gwarimpa on December 26, 2025. He was reportedly dressed in a white shirt and carton-coloured trousers at the time he was discovered.

A good Samaritan who found the child brought him to the Gwarimpa Police Divisional Headquarters at about 4:00 p.m. after efforts to locate his parents or relatives in the area proved unsuccessful.

Police authorities disclosed that the child is unable to speak or provide any useful information that could help identify his family or place of residence.

The FCT Police Command has therefore called on well-meaning members of the public who may have information about the child or his family to visit the nearest police station or contact the Police through the numbers 08180382808 or the Police Public Relations Officer on 07038979348.

The Police reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of the child while efforts to reunite him with his family continue.
