…AS FIVE SODOMISTS RAPE A 17-YEAR-OLD BOY

A tip-off by the Katsina State Police Command on July 25, 2021, at about 0900hrs, arrested one Aisha Nura, a 27 years old female of Baranda village, a Fulani settlement at Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
It was learnt that nemesis caught up with the suspect when she was arrested in a suspicious manner while concealing her presence and tried to board a motorcycle from Batsari town heading towards Nahuta village.
A search carried out on her led to the recovery of N2,405,000:00K reasonably suspected to be proceeds of arms supplied to bandits in Kaduna state.
The suspect who has confessed to the commission of the offence, admitted that she was sent by the husband, one Nura Alhaji Murnai a notorious bandit, who belonged to the camp of bandits’ leader one Abu Radda to collect the money on his behalf from his counterparts in Kaduna forest.
In another development, a member of armed robbers terrorizing Batsari LGA of Katsina state was arrested on July 19, 2021.
The suspect, Kabir Musa, a 20-year-old male of Kufan – Kanawa village of Batsari LGA, is known for his notoriety and a member of a criminal syndicate.
In the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to have conspired with one Ila Lawal, and Jamilu Murnai all of the same address (now at large) and attacked the residence of one Muhammed Sada and Saminu Sada all of Fura Girke village Batsari LGA and robbed him of his belongings. Also arrested are five suspected sodomists who raped a 17 years old boy.
It was gathered that the Command succeeded in busting a notorious syndicate of Sodomists who at different intervals lured and had an unlawful carnal knowledge of a 17 years old boy against the order of nature.
The suspects were identified as Ibrahim Amadu, 42 years of Sabuwr Unguwa Quarters, Katsina; Saminu Abdullahi, 25 years of Farin Yaro Quarters, Katsina; Jamilu Ibrahim, 50 years of Farin Yaro Quarter, Katsina; Bashir Lawal, 30 years of Gangaren Tudun Yanlihida Quarters, Katsina and Mohammed Sani, 30 years of Salauwa Quarters, Katsina all male.
The victim alleged that one Ibrahim Amadu took him to a particular location in Katsina where he threatened him with a knife before he tied his hands with a rope and had unlawful carnal knowledge of him against the order of nature.
Sadly, he added that all the other suspects did the same at different places and intervals. He also mentioned six other suspects who had unlawful carnal knowledge of him but are presently at large while the investigation continues.
However, in another vein, some suspects have been arrested for stealing 15 wheelchairs donated by the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, under his empowerment scheme – Aminu Bello Masari Youth Empowerment Foundation.
It was learnt that the stolen chairs are part of the 200 wheelchairs he donated to the physically challenged persons in the state.
The stolen chairs were sold out to receivers at N7,000 against the cost of N150,000:00K per unit.
