…AFTER DISPOSSESSING VICTIM OF CORROLLA CAR, N20,000

Police operatives attached to Ilasan Division have arrested two suspected armed robbers popularly referred to as “One Chance after robbing a man of a Toyota Corrolla car in Ikate, Lekki.”
The suspects identified as Samson Tella, 37 and Raphael John, 21, both male, were arrested on August 3, 2021, about 9.30 am and have been terrorising Lekki/Ajah axis of Lagos State.
It was learnt that the suspected armed robbers had on August 2, 2021, about 9.30 pm attacked the owner of a Toyota Corrolla car with Registration No. JJJ 242 FW, at Ikate Area of Lagos, took over the steering, and drove him to Automated Teller Mechine (ATM) at Ikate and withdrew the sum N20,000 from the account of the victim.
Thereafter, the victim informed the police who tracked and traced the car to a mechanic workshop at Lafiaji, Lagos Island, on August 3, 2021, where the suspects were arrested with the stolen car.
The victim later identified Samson Tella as one of the robbers that attacked him.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, in his bid to reduce crime, especially “One Chance” to its barest minimum in Lagos State, has tasked Tactics Commanders in the Command to expedite actions in flushing out other “One Chance” operators in the state.
CP Odumosu, therefore, ordered that the suspects be transferred to the Special Squad, Ikeja, for proper investigation and possible prosecution.
