An attempt to perpetually subjected some under-aged girls to sex slavery has been uncovered as the Delta State Police have arrested the victim’s in a hotel where they were carrying out illicit sex extravaganza.
In a statement on Wednesday and signed by the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Mohammed Ali said the command had on the 15th April 2022 about 2330hrs, received information that the Fagoma Hotel located at Aragba, Otokutu in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State was being used as a brothel where underage children are trafficked and used as a sex slave.
As a result, the brothel was raided and some underage girls were rescued.
Some of the victims included: a 13-year-old Happiness Johnson; Esther Godspower, 21, Angel John, 22, Miracle Bishop, 19, and Happiness Isreal, 19 years old.
However, investigations revealed that one Joy, a female with her surname unknown but now on the run, trafficked the underaged girls from Rivers State and took them to Patani where they were forced to take an oath before they were brought to Otu-Jeremi and harboured by one Edwin Etareri the owner of the said brothel and his wife, one Mrs. Grace Etariri currently in custody.
Ten other male suspects and ten female suspected prostitutes were also arrested during the raid.
The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command explained that the investigation was ongoing.
