Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos State Command has cautioned motorists to be cautious as rehabilitation work has begun at a 3km distance on Otedola inwards Secretariat end of Lagos -Ibadan Expressway.
The construction, it was learned began about a week ago and has partly affected the traffic situation along the axis.
Motorists are advised to explore alternative routes such as Ogunnusi road inward Lateef Jakande to connect the Mobolaji Johnson Avenue to Motorways and they can connect to their destinations.
Also, vehicles coming from outside Lagos through the Lagos-Ibadan corridor can as well access other routes like Abeokuta -Lagos Road, Lekki-Epe, and Ikorodu roads respectively.
“Motorists are also implored to obey diversion signs available along the route, and plan their journey”.
Ogungbemide has assured motorists that adequate traffic control has been provided by FRSC, Police, and men of LASTMA to ensure free flow of traffic while the construction is still ongoing.
Motorists are, therefore, advised to avoid driving against traffic and maintain their lanes while using the road.
