It is absolutely necessary that this is proclaimed to the rooftops. That is, there is no controversy surrounding it. Prof Uche Ikonne is poised to serve. He is ready to deliver the goods. A part of the problem in Abia State has been the madness of bringing to power accidental leaders who were never ready to serve. At the end of it all, this set of people causes more severe damage than providing solutions for the situation they met on the ground.
We had stated this obvious fact in the past and there is the prevailing need to state it once more here. In ABSU, he brought the state-owned institution of learning to a global standard, now regarded as a prestigious institution in Nigeria. At least, Ikonne put to an end, the senseless and disturbing cult practices in the University. He restored the students’ confidence in virtually all academic even non-academic activities in the institution.
Again in Abia Poly, in spite of all destructive propaganda being hauled against Ikonne, we can now tell you on good authority that he noticed the lacuna in the institution and mapped out globally accepted strategies for its repositioning. He distinguished himself at Abia Polytechnic Aba and the authorities elevated him by electing him as the substantive 7th Vice Chancellor of Abia State University.
The Manila Central University-trained Optometrist is always a man with innovative ideas. As an administrator, he has proved he could pull chess nuts out of the ovum and he can equally hew out water out of stone. A great listener and an exponent of “let us do it together”, Ikonne has all the ingenuous attributes of a reformer.
This is why he always goes with the mantra of “Our Story must Change”. Yes. Aba must be made to challenge China, Japan, Malaysia, and all the famed Asia Tigers. Umuahia must be built as a true state capital, reflective of Abia’s greatness and ingenuity.
The one we call PUI (Prof Uche Ikonne) is the only candidate that has the answers to Abia’s questions, at least, as they concern the 2023 governorship election.
Abians cannot trust anyone that is fighting the finger that feeds him because of ignoble ambition. As it is written: My son, fear the LORD and the king; Do not associate with those given to change. Proverbs 24: 21.
Abians cannot trust a man who changed his nativity because of ambition.
Abians can’t trust a man that marginalized a particular section of people in Abia because if voted in it will lead to continued marginalization, segregation, and intimidation of such People which will lead to a crisis in the state.
Abians only have confidence in PUI because he has the answers to Abia’s questions. PUI is indeed ready to serve.
