Military Police Investigators have been reminded of their sterling role in the investigation and prosecution of cases for the Nigerian Army.
The Commander Infantry Corp (CIC), Major General CG Musa, who applauded them as a key component in military discipline, command, and control added that officers should always emulate the good side of the character of their superior officers and jettison the bad sides.
He made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Military Police (NASMP), Brigadier General MO Erebulu on Thursday, 9th March 2023, at the School Headquarters, Zaria.
The visit was part of his familiarisation visit by the Commander Infantry Corp who recently took over the leadership of the corp. He congratulated the Commandant NASMP on some commendable projects he undertook in the school.
In his response, the Commandant NASMP, Brigadier General MO Erebulu appreciated Gen Musa for finding time to visit NASMP despite his busy schedule on the assumption of office.
He pledged the School’s unalloyed support whenever required, stressing that it’s Provost Marshal’s interest to ensure the efficiency of investigators in the Corps hence various measures are put in place to boost the investigative capacity.
“From refresher courses to explosion of student in investigation line to a military court martial and the provision of an effective forensic lab to improve the knowledge of investigators amongst others, ” he reiterated.
