The Assistant Inspector-General of Police overseeing the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos, AIG Margaret Ochalla, has been honoured with the RazorNews Lifetime Award for Integrity in Police Service.

The award, presented by the Chief Executive Officer of RazorNews Group Limited, Mr. Odita Sunday, recognises AIG Ochalla’s outstanding dedication to justice, fairness, and professionalism over the course of her distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony held at the FCID Annex headquarters, Mr. Odita praised AIG Ochalla for her transparent approach to law enforcement and her unwavering commitment to ethical policing. He described her career as “a sterling example of leadership, empathy, and integrity in law enforcement,” highlighting her continued efforts to foster a citizen-focused police system.

He further encouraged the senior officer to maintain her steadfast dedication to duty, noting that her service stands as a source of inspiration to younger officers and a model for society at large.

In her remarks, AIG Ochalla expressed gratitude to RazorNews for the recognition, describing the award as both an honour and a renewed call to service. She reiterated her commitment to the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, particularly in strengthening accountability, discipline, and professionalism within the Force.

She also appealed to the media to uphold fairness and objectivity in their reporting on police activities, emphasising the importance of a constructive partnership between law enforcement and the media in building public trust and advancing national development.
