The Head of Enlightenment and Reorientation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Assistant Commander, Aisha Mohammed, has been honored with the prestigious title of “The Most Valuable Public Service Communicator of The Year” and Pace Setter Perception Manager Par excellence with EFCC, “Young Achievers Award of the Year 2024.”
Mohammed was a nominee in the 14th edition of the Young Achievers Nigeria Awards organised by Young Achievers.
This year’s edition titled: “Your Destiny Is in Your Hands”, was held in Lagos at IBIS HOTEL, IKEJA, on Sunday, July 28, 2024, and also witnessed the decoration of other awardees.
The Award was bestowed on her for her tireless and outstanding contributions in the sensitisation and enlightenment of the Nigerian youths against internet fraud and corruption.
She was also recognised for her commitment to her field in building a viable and strong youth force in Nigeria and creating decent youths for the next generation. Her visionary leadership propelled the organisers of the event to recognise her.
Commenting on her recent achievements, Mohammed expressed gratitude to God as the maker of the award. With her track record of excellence and a vision for the future of Nigerian youths, in her place of work, Mohammed has continued to shine brightly as an inspirational youth-minded individual.
The event is the biggest and the most celebrated youth event in Nigeria. This is its 14th Young Achievers Nigeria Award, an annual event that showcases and honours outstanding young Nigerians, who have excelled in their various fields.
The event which is packaged by Young Achievers nigeria.com, (Nigeria’s Celebrity Youth Journal), has become a household name in Nigeria.
Leadership has been a major challenge for Africans, especially in Nigeria but some outstanding Nigerian youths have been able to stay afloat despite the unfavourable economic challenges.
The Convener of the award, Mr. Adeduntan Ibrahim, said this year’s nominees were chosen after a painstaking rigorous search by the award committee.
Some of the new school heroes honoured this year include – Dr. Hallowed Olaoluwa, who became the youngest PhD holder in Africa at age 20 and is now, the youngest lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Lagos. He was honoured as ‘the most outstanding valuable male lecturer of the year.
Also honoured, is Dr. Aminat Ige, who was the best PhD Thesis Award Winner from Unilag in 2023 and is now a lecturer at Lagos State University.
In politics – the 34-year-old Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin was honoured as ‘The Political Role Model of The Year.
Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, the 29-year-old youngest Commissioner in Oyo State (Ministry of Youth and Sports), was honoured as the ‘Most Valuable Outstanding Commissioner of The Year.
Other winners are Senator Sharafa Alli-Most Valuable Outstanding Performing Senator of The Year and Minister of Aviation & Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and many others, who were also rewarded.
