…AS PROPHET CHUKWUEMEKA OHANAEMERE VISITS POLICE COMMAND HEADQUARTERS, AWKA

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen peace and security ahead of the November 8, 2025, Anambra Governorship Election, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc, mnips, PhD, has intensified strategic engagements with critical stakeholders across the State to foster unity, patriotism, and peaceful participation in the electoral process.

The Commissioner made the call on Thursday, October 23, 2025, when he received the Founder of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (also known as Odumeje), who paid a courtesy visit to the Police Command Headquarters in Awka.

Welcoming the clergyman, CP Orutugu reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining peace and order through both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies. He urged religious and societal influencers to leverage their platforms to promote peace, tolerance, and respect for the rule of law as the election approaches.

“Leaders with moral and social influence have a sacred duty to guide their followers toward peaceful conduct, unity, and love for our nation, especially in times of political activity,” the CP stated.

He emphasized that the Police under his leadership will continue to engage all sectors of society—including faith-based organizations, traditional rulers, and youth groups—to ensure a credible, violence-free election. He also called on religious institutions to partner with the Police in sensitizing their members on the importance of peace, patriotism, and lawful behavior before, during, and after the polls.

In his remarks, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere commended the Commissioner for his inclusive approach to security management and prayed for divine guidance and protection for the leadership of the Force. He pledged his continued support and prayers for a peaceful and successful election in Anambra State.

The visit highlights the Command’s proactive, community-driven approach to peacebuilding and its sustained efforts to promote public confidence, collaboration, and non-violent participation in the electoral process, as contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
