The Anambra State Police Command has reported that the ongoing Governorship Election across the state, particularly in Ihiala, Ogbaru, and Ayamelum Local Government Areas, remains peaceful and orderly.
According to the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, a robust and well-coordinated security deployment continues to dominate all strategic locations, ensuring the safety of voters and the integrity of the electoral process.

Police personnel, alongside operatives from other security agencies, are stationed at polling units, collation centers, waterways, and border communities to prevent any form of disruption and to instill public confidence in the voting process.
The Command reaffirmed its neutrality and commitment to protecting lives and property, maintaining law and order, and upholding the credibility of the election.
It also urged members of the public to remain peaceful, obey lawful instructions from security personnel, and continue to conduct themselves responsibly throughout the election period.
