The Anambra State Police Command on Monday, December 23, 2025, hosted its annual Christmas Carol and End-of-Year Party, bringing together police officers, key stakeholders and invited guests in a festive atmosphere of reflection, appreciation and celebration.
The event, which took place at the Vertex View Hotel Hall, Nibo, Awka, featured the recognition of outstanding officers for their dedication, professionalism and gallantry in crime fighting, as well as the honouring of stakeholders who have consistently supported security efforts across the state.

Among those celebrated was the Commander of the Special Anti-Cult Squad, Enugu-Ukwu, CSP Ayuba Ahmadu, who emerged as the Anambra State Police Command’s Best Crime Fighter of the Year. CSP Ahmadu also received national recognition from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) for his exceptional contributions to crime control within student communities.
The Commander of the Agụnachmba Vigilante Group, Hon. Ken Emeakayi, was honoured for his outstanding collaboration and support in maintaining security across Anambra State.
Similarly, the Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme, was recognised as the Best Supportive Stakeholder, while Hon. Ambrose Obinna Onuzulike received an award for selfless service and consistent support to the Police Command.

In addition, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, received an award from the Senate Arm of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), recognising him as the Best Student-Friendly Police Public Relations Officer for his professionalism and effective police–public engagement.
The Command reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, improved security and sustained partnership with stakeholders, pledging to intensify efforts towards ensuring the safety of lives and property across Anambra State in the coming year.
The celebration underscored the Command’s resolve to strengthen cooperation with communities and partners in advancing public safety and security in the state.
