The Anambra State Police Command has outlined the key benefits of a career in the Nigeria Police Force, urging eligible citizens—particularly indigenes of the state—to take advantage of the ongoing recruitment exercise and contribute actively to improved policing services.
The Command described policing as a vital platform for meaningful participation in national development, noting that increased representation of Ndi Anambra within the Force would strengthen community-oriented policing and enhance public confidence in law enforcement.
According to the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the participation of indigenes in the Nigeria Police Force will improve security outcomes by fostering a deeper understanding of the local environment, culture and people, thereby promoting trust, cooperation and effective crime prevention.
Policing, the Command noted, is a noble profession founded on service, discipline and patriotism. It offers structured career progression, professional training and the opportunity to make a positive impact on society through the protection of lives and property.
The Anambra State Police Command further encouraged eligible youths to view enlistment into the Police Force as a constructive means of contributing to national discourse on security and governance, stressing that active involvement in national institutions is essential for inclusive development and sustainable peace.
The Command reiterated its call on qualified indigenes to participate fully in the ongoing recruitment process and play a role in shaping a safer and more secure Anambra State.
