It was a night of nostalgia, powerhouse vocals, and heartfelt emotion as Nigerian Idol Season 10, proudly sponsored by Bigi, unveiled its Top 6 contestants in a captivating live show themed “The Year I Was Born.” The episode transported viewers through decades of music, with each contestant performing iconic songs from the year they were born — bringing unforgettable memories back to life while proving their star power.

The night began on a high note with a unifying group performance of “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers, setting the tone for an evening filled with soul and sentiment. First to take the stage was Purp, who commanded attention with a fierce and confident rendition of Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough.” Brammy followed with a moving performance of Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be in My Heart,” impressing the judges with his vocal control and emotional depth. Kristopher brought energy and authenticity to Mary J. Blige’s “Be Happy,” while Lawrence charmed the audience with Westlife’s “I Lay My Love on You,” a throwback that had fans singing along and reminiscing.

Mikki delivered a smooth and romantic take on Joe’s “All That I Am,” leaving the audience swaying with admiration. The show reached its emotional peak when Raymu closed the night with Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On,” a heartfelt tribute to his father who passed away two decades ago. His powerful performance moved both judges and viewers, marking a deeply personal moment on the Idol stage.

While the night celebrated musical excellence and nostalgia, it also came with a bittersweet farewell as Bosslady was eliminated from the competition. Her departure was felt by fans and fellow contestants alike, as the stakes continued to rise.

Adding to the excitement was the surprise return of singer and original Nigerian Idol judge Omawunmi to the panel. Her presence brought an extra layer of credibility, charisma, and warmth to the evening, as she offered seasoned insights to the remaining hopefuls.

As Nigerian Idol Season 10 enters its final stretch, Bigi continues to play a vital role in empowering young Nigerian talent, reaffirming its commitment to supporting dreams and inspiring greatness. With only a few weeks left, the race to become Nigeria’s next music sensation is more intense than ever.

Stay tuned as the journey continues. Catch Nigerian Idol Season 10 every Sunday at 7 PM (WAT) on DStv Channel 196 and GOtv Channel 49.
