
…ATTENDS STRATEGIC SECURITY SERVICE COMMANDERS MEETING
The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State Command, has vowed to partner with sister security agencies to enhance the security of lives and protect Critical National, State, and local government assets and infrastructure in various parts of Anambra State.
Commandant Maku made this assertion after participating in a high-level meeting with other service commanders at the Police Command Headquarters in Awka on Friday, April 11, 2025, where they focused on strengthening security collaboration and crafting operational strategies to address Anambra State’s security concerns.
According to Head, Media and Tactical, NSCDC Anambra State Command, SC Okadigbo Edwin, in a statement, Commandant Maku reaffirmed the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps’ commitment to ensuring the safety of Anambra State through strong collaboration, fostering efficient partnership, and coordinating operations planning with other security agencies.

The service commanders at the meeting pledged to implement the security measures agreed to at the meeting and adopt several operational plans to thwart threats to internal security by undesirable elements.
The service commanders explored strategies to enhance security, focusing on intensified surveillance, intelligence sharing, and robust measures to tackle crime and ensure public safety.
The meeting is anticipated to yield enhanced security protocols and foster greater collaboration between security agencies in Anambra State, ultimately leading to improved safety and effectiveness.
The meeting was attended by service commanders from various security agencies, including the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Department of State Services, Immigration Service, Correctional Service, Customs Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Chief Kenneth Emeakai, Special Adviser on Community Security to Anambra State Governor and other relevant stakeholders.
