Comptroller Dahiru Mani Bagiwa has officially taken over as the Comptroller of Immigration Service in charge of Lagos State Command.
His appointment follows the redeployment of Comptroller BA Aliyu, who has been appointed as the Principal Staff Officer (PSO- CGIS) in the recent redeployment of Comptrollers carried out by the Service.
CIS Bagiwa who hails from Mani Local Government Area in Katsina State was until his appointment, the Comptroller in charge of Kaduna State Command. CIS Bagiwa has in various capacities served in several Commands and Formations across the Country.
He has also previously served with the National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North-East region.
Comptroller Bagiwa is coming in with a wealth of experience as a seasoned administrator after having undergone several administrative courses within and outside the Service.
He has a first degree in Political Science from the elite Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He subsequently followed up with a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from Bayero University Kano (BUK).
He is the immediate past Comptroller of Kaduna State Command and is once again returning to Lagos after having previously served at the Command and MMIA.
